| The FB-type has a proven ability
to retain high levels of water, 200% of its own weight. This means
that in dryland and desert areas, the powderized ceramic can be mixed
with the soil to improve water retention. The application of the FB-type
ceramic with soil can also be an effect drought prevention technique. |

FB type is highly hydro-absorbent and through its natural characteristics it can retain 200% of its weight. |
| 2 |
Improvement of soil ventilation
and drainage, particularly in clay-like soils. The roots
of plants are also improved and protected and can even
grow faster because of the porous nature of the ceramic.
|
| 3 |
Prevention of fertilizer wash-outs
(the ceramic hold the water so it holds the fertilizer).
|
| 4 |
Agricultural crops and other
plants can be productively grown using very moderate levels
of water through the combination of FB-type ceramic powder
in the soil. This can save on labour costs typically needed
for regular irrigation as well as lower water supply costs.

A fringe benefit
of the FB-type porous ceramic is that it has an insulating
effect on the soil. In the summer the ceramic powder provides
improved ventilation and thus prevents the soil from over-heating
or retaining too much heat. Contrarily, in the winter
the FA-type ceramic reduces the extreme temperatures.

The FB-type is long-lasting
and it is scientifically proven to have no quality effects
on the soil or its nutrients. |
